In 2016, I found myself in over my head. I returned to teaching junior high after the birth of my first baby and found myself drowning. I had said yes to too many things in the past, and it was catching up to me.
As a coping mechanism, I found myself researching a capsule wardrobe. If I had one less decision to make the in the mornings, could that help the rest of my day go a tiny bit smoother? It did, and I was hooked.
I bought Marie Kondo’s book The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up got to work. I purged my entire household and discarded approximately 50% of our belongings in a couple of weeks. I felt free. And still hooked.
My minimalist paradigm then spread to other areas of my life. I discarded years and years of past teachers’ lessons and textbooks in my classroom and felt a breath of fresh air. I started decluttering my calendar, and streamlining my cleaning and meal-planning. The more I did, the more I wanted to do, so once I finished with my life, I wanted to help others.
And thus, The Minimalist Paradigm was born. I want to help you find the freedom from your stuff so you can make space for more of what you actually want in your life. Take action today to get it off your mind. I can’t wait to help coach you through your journey.
“Maddy is the greatest coach and cheerleader. And the greatest part about her bootcamps? You always have room to grow.”
